Stephen Ministers are laypeople trained to provide one-to-one care for people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, job loss, divorce, chronic, terminal or unexpected illness, relocation or separation due to military deployment. Stephen Ministers have a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people in their time of need and feel strongly that no one should face life’s problems alone.
Are you understanding, caring and compassionate? Are you a good listener? Are you empathetic and can empower people t ofind hope and solutions to tough challenges of life? The Stephen Minister is part of a caring lay ministry in which one person reaches out to another in time of need. Men, women and mature youth develop thier skills and gifts through training sessions. Upon completion of training, you are commissioned to serve as a confidential caregiver.
