OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULT EDUCATION
Bible Study (Evening) & (Morning)
Are you interested in knowing more about the Bible? Is it important to you to know the Bible and its stories better and how that enlivens your Catholic faith? Right now we’re involved in a 2+ year Witness in Faith on Apologetics for the evening session. It will be continuing in 6-week segments for another year. Two daytime groups meet every week using a guide to discuss the readings for the next Sunday. One of the groups is a woman’s group and the other is made up of both men and women.
If you are interested in either group or beginning another daytime or evening group, please contact Carol at the parish.
Heart to Heart
Do you enjoy being with women of all ages and cultures to learn more about Jesus and to share with each other your life journeys? Are you interested in learning more about scripture and your faith?
This group comes together to be a support for one another as well as to understand, enrich and deepen their spiritual relationships and knowledge of Jesus’ plan for their life. We meet weekly on Wednesday mornings.
Hilltoppers (55+)
Do you enjoy being with mature people of faith? Is it fun to reminisce and relive peak events of life? Are there opportunities in your life for spiritual and social enrichment? Are you interested in being part of a Catholic book club?
The mission of this group is to provide parishioners over 55 an opportunity for spiritual enrichment and fellowship. Our book club meets the first Thursday of each month and another group is forming on the second and fourth Thursdays. If you have ideas you would like to spearhead into action for a like-spirited group of folks, with of these groups may be the group for you! Last year we attempted to engage an on-going process and didn’t have enough interest. If you have an interest in this area, please contact the parish office.
Nursery Helper
Do you have lots of energy, yet are also patient? Do you have a sense of humor and like to be with young children and have fun? Do you enjoy being helpful to others?
The Nursery needs people to assist the Coordinator with children who come while their parents attend Mass or adult functions. A babysitting course, or the equivalent is required.
I Am Not Alone Group
Are you facing some emotional challenges regarding relationships? Are you feeling alone or challenged because of a death of a spouse, divorce, separation, being a single parent or having a military demand where a husband or wife has to leave home to serve on a deployment?
This fellowship is offered to help confront and soothe the heartache, frustration and changes in life you may be experiencing. Goals are to meet twice monthly with a person to facilitate and help find purpose, direction and guidance for you.
