Mission
Assists the Archbishop in coordinating child abuse prevention efforts throughout the archdiocese. Supports parishes, schools and agencies of the Archdiocese of Seattle with all Safe Environment efforts, including background checks, Safe Environment training and development and implementation of related policies.

ANNUAL UPDATE TRAINING
All Church Personnel* who completed Called to Protect for Ministries before July 1, 2011, or who completed an Armatus training last year, must complete an annual update training in the Armatus program. Armatus is an online training system which allows participants to take the class at their convenience, from any computer with internet access.
This annual update training in the Armatus program must be completed by October 31, 2011.
* Church Personnel includes all clergy, all employees, and any volunteer who works with minors & vulnerable adults and youth.
