Are you knowledgeable about parish events and organizations in the parish so you can answer questions? Could you help at Welcoming Newcomer potluck events? Our Parish mission calls us to be a welcoming community. You can make this a reality.
This ministry invites every member of the parish community to welcome newcomers. It is not reserved only for those who join a committee. This committee fills a special role of welcoming newcomers so that they are greeted and invited to become involved in our parish. We physically go out to greet the new parishioners after one of the staff has done a personal interview. We phone them to set up a time to visit. Then we bring a Welcome Basket to them, questions they may have are answered. They are invited to fill out Time & Talent and Treasure commitment forms which the Committee bring to the office. Persons who serve must be a Catholic in good standing and becomes partners in the Mission and Vision of our parish.
