Junior & Senior High Youth Ministry

In an effort to help the Corona Virus from spreading we will be following Archdiocesan and Health Department guidance. Junior and Senior High Youth Group Meetings, Confirmation Classes, Homeless Men's Shelter Dinner, Stations of The Cross, Youth Choir, Soup Supper, and Retreat have been canceled. We will post updates as we get them.
Confirmation students use this time to finish your homework, letter to Father Tim, and Service Project Form. We will post updates as we get them.
Most important we need to pray!

Junior High Youth Ministry (6th – 8th graders) Meet every Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 pm in Hallen Hall. The agenda includes Faith Formation, Prayer, Snack, Crafts, Games, and Socializing. Once a month one of their classes is a Blanket Ministry Service Project. Teens are encouraged to attend the Archdiocesan Junior High Rally, Retreats, join Church Ministries, and participate in Community Service. The program enables the Junior High students to gather in their Parish as a community, expands their horizons, and it deepens their understanding of the Catholic faith.  The program helps the youth to learn and experience themselves, God and the world in which they live.

Snack Schedule (6th graders) provide snacks on 1st Tuesday; (7th graders) provide snacks on 2nd Tuesday; (8th graders) provide snacks on 3rd Tuesday.

Senior High Youth Ministry (9th-12th graders) Meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Hallen Hall. The agenda includes Faith Formation, Prayer, Meal, Crafts, Games and Socializing. Teens are encouraged to participate in the Archdiocesan Senior High Convention, attend the Black Lake Senior High Retreat, join Church Ministries, and to perform Community Service. The program enables the Senior High students to grow in their spiritual faith by encouraging responsible participation in the life, mission and work of their faith community, empowering them to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Meal  A meal is served each time the Senior High Youth Ministry meets.  Parent volunteers are recruited to provide these meals at the start of the program.

Two main Church Ministries the youth are urged to participate in are:

1. Blanket Ministry (Once a month.)

2. Youth Oriented Mass (Sunday 5:00p.m.)

All teens attending either Junior or Senior High Youth Ministry must be registered. Parents can enroll their teens at any time throughout the school year. This can be done at the Parish Office during normal working hours. Please call 360-491-0890 for additional information.
